The
World Council Meeting, scheduled for
17th & 18th April in London, had to

cloud restricting air traffic to and
from the UK.

Conference call 2:
This conference dealt with the ILCA
finances. The World Council took
measures to address ILCA's
structural loss situation which has
developed over the last few years.
The following decisions were made:
- The entry fee
at Laser World Championships has
been increased by £50 GBP to
£200 GBP from 2011 inclusive.
-
The charter fees
have been increased by £50,
bringing the cost of a charter
boat to £450 GBP for our 2011
World Laser Championships
- The annual
membership fee has been
increased from £5 GBP to £5.60
GBP. The increase will take
effect from 2011 for membership
2011/2012.
- The Laser
plaque fee, charged to the
builders, has been increased.
The increase will take effect
from 1st October 2010.
- The sail
button fee, charged to the
builders, has been increased.
The increase will take effect
from 1st October 2010.
These balanced
measures ensure that everyone, Laser
sailors at grass-roots level, World
championship Laser sailors as well
as the Laser manufacturers,
contribute to
ensure that ILCA can continue to
provide the same services and
organize and run all Laser World
championships.
